Oklahoma

Oklahoma paycheck calculator

Oklahoma collapsed its schedule under House Bill 2764: three brackets with a 4.5% top rate reached at a low threshold, after a standard deduction and a $1,000 personal exemption ($2,000 joint). Brackets are not inflation-indexed in the source table. Oklahoma City and Tulsa do not add a city wage tax here.

Because the top rate arrives early, many full-time salaries sit in the 4.5% slice after relief — the estimate still subtracts the deduction and exemption first. A traditional 401(k) reduces the Oklahoma base; Social Security and Medicare do not.

Compare Oklahoma with Texas at the same salary when a move pitch treats them as interchangeable. Texas has a $0 state line; Oklahoma has this schedule. Federal tax is shared either way.
